"BYGONES YEARS"
WOODHAM FERRERS AND
BICKNACRE PARISH FETE
JUNE 11TH 2011 11:30am to 3pm
AT EDWINS
HALL
CM3 8RX
On June 11th Edwins Hall
will host an unusual parish fete.
The theme is “Bygone Years” and the money raised will be shared jointly
between Little Haven’s Children’s Hospice and St. Mary’s Church Bell
Tower. The fete committee has begun planning a day to
remember and many good people of the parish have already volunteered
their services. We hope it will transport people back in time to fetes gone by, when everyone in the local community looked forward to sharing the afternoon together with good food and lots of fun. In addition there will be plenty of interesting local history exhibits, crafts and side shows.
As part of the entertainment we promise musical turns from our local talent. In the main arena there will be a giant tug of war, a display from the Burnham and District Dog Training team, a dancing display from the local primary school and a fancy dress competition. We plan pony rides, informative nature walks, local bee keepers, spinners, lace makers, and lots of homemade food to enjoy. The W.I. are serving cream teas which hopefully come with a large dose of sunshine!
We are running a licensed raffle with cash prizes and freebies from our local businesses. Tickets are available from most church members and local organizations. Admission is by programme on the day. Adults £2, Concessions £1.50 and Children £1, Family of 4 (2+2) £5
